All praises to Allah, the Almighty, the One & Only...

I need to scribble something in english, might as well clean the rust in my proficiency...

The Push.

This may or may not be about dakwah & tarbiyyah, but bear with me please :)

It was highlighted to me that certain people, or certain community to be more exact have a tendency to respect and admire people with good english skill. At one part, I don't think that is necessary. Excellence in english may be beneficial and you really kinda exert that aura of charisma if you can speak well, but substance-wise you are still questionable...

But hey, I am not gonna write about english, that was just stating my undying reason to scribble one or two words, maybe sentences, in english. Hehe :)

Like I said, scribble.

Being human, we subscribe to constant changes. We change all the time. Sometimes spontaneous whereas others are well planned. But some people just deserve my respect and utmost admiration for being consistent. They do change of course, but it is just something about them that is always similar. It's like their very own kind of personal trait. You can detect it actually, try observing your friends and you shall be surprised actually for the fact that each and everyone of us posses that 'consistent' at our part of our life.

We mingle. We talk. We chat. We laugh. We fight. We console each other.

Change is in human nature. But the nature also provides that everything happens for a reason. We simply change because our friends are putting the psychological 'peer pressure' on us. Or perhaps we change because we want to fit in, to attract people, to make them to like us. And just maybe we change because we wanted to try something new. Possible kan?

However, much to my amusement, it is very seldom for people to change because they want to change. What I meant is, the change happen due to individual decision and determination, not via manipulation, indoctrination, or pressure. This kind of change is everlasting because you shake the very existence of yourself for something new. Let me reassure you, this kind of change rarely occur. We do enjoy our 'comfort zone' way too much. And most of us keep waiting for that one single 'push' to trigger the life long change :)

To change on your own is very hard. It is closely related to your faith, character and personality. You can't change that easily. You just can't.

One Islam scholar once said, "Islam is about reaching the heart not preaching hard".

Right. Reaching the heart.

The heart is the center of changes. You need to push your heart. Let it know that you are ready for something new. Even the nature state of the heart is ever changing. Physically the heart beats all the time, you be dead if it stops beating :) But emotionally, the heart always ponder and excited for something new.

We all need that kind of 'push'. We need it badly to propel us to a greater height. But change will never last if your faith & belief is just not ready for it. So, if we ever wish to be the 'push' to trigger the change (good one of course) in our friends or family, reach their heart first, before you start dropping them with thousands bomb of advice.

Your messages will get into their brain, but the effects will wear off. Let your words reach their hearts, and your presence will last forever :)

Everyone needs change. We always want to be good, pious and better. But sometimes we are waiting too long for that tiny 'push'.

Do me a favour will ya? Just remember that you can be the 'push' to that special someone and bear in mind to always reach for their heart first. Sincerity is the only policy :)

This post is about dakwah and tarbiyyah :) I can assure you that...

Wassalam..
